Lead melts at much higher temp so that is not a problem. However, on 1/32 jigheads I have experienced paint burning problems at temps over 350 degrees and times longer than 15 minutes. Gotta watch em or them little rascals will burn. Never had a problem on 1/16 and larger.

No melting and I use all sizes 1/80 oz to 1/4 oz. at the near 400F for 10 minutes now and it use to be 15 minutes and I did that for a long time. Never had any melt in the oven. I do change when doing white, silver and other colors that are not included in the fast option.

Thanks Skip. I gonna try that 400 degrees for 10 minute deal.

That may solve my paint burn problem. Only does it on white, chartreuse & orange. And, only a few of them....the rest turn out OK.

Hey fella's i use 300-- 1000+ lbs of powder a day at work.98% of all colors get cured for 18 min @ 385 degrees.Remember you are always dealing with part/metal temp. Not the temp of your over.So if i put a part in the oven it take a few min. for the part to get to temp.then the rest of the time to fully cure. smile
