I purchase the pontoons in a cylinder shape, then modify it with hot wire tools to get the flat spots to attach the plywood strips on the top and sides. I also make the cone shapes on the ends. The little gray circles you see in the photos are plywood circles embedded for durabilty when you stand it on end. Yes I can get the foam in different lengths.

OK, here's another set of questions for you... Most of the inflatable pontoons use compression straps to keep the frame on the toons...

How durable is the foam? ie, how hard is it and would it allow you to cinch down a compression strap with buckle and not collapse the foam?

As it is, do the toons slide foreward or backwards under the frame?

My son has a fish cat that one of the pontoon covers ripped out this last September and the other is not in great shape. I called the fish cat people about replacement parts but they were not to accommodating. Do you make pontoons for other boats and if so what would it cost and how much would a pair of 6 to 8 foot pontoons weigh?

The foam is very durable and capable of holding a strap without collapsing. I chose to go a different route. I sliced a flat spot in the foam and attached the plywood strip with a foam to wood adhesive. There's plenty of glue surface and when it sets, it would take a hammer to remove the plywood. The metal tubing frame is then attached to the plywood with stainless steel screws. You do have the option of taking the screws out and sliding the frame on the pontoons, then reattaching.

Tell me what diameter you're looking for and I'll check in to it. If we can get them, they wont weigh much.

Again, thx for the quick reply to my e-mail yesterday. Seems like you have more people interested in longer/larger pontoons.. Might be time for another model..

rockhopper the pontoons that came with the fish cat are 16"x8' and use straps to connect to the frame.

It really does float ya'll. This is my idea of a nicely rigged fishing float. The lockable boxes fastened to the pontoon also make handy carrying handles. Notice the drink holder and Scotty rod holders. Accessories can be attached with just a couple of screws. As you can see, I'm high and dry.

That looks so much better than a tube. I think you have a great toon there. Those pontoons look like they float higher than air filled bladders. I also like the drink and rod holders. Great job rockhopper.

That does look good but I would like bigger, no place for paddles, no place for gear like cooler, tackle box, battery, or lights (I fish at night alot).

You let me know, I just got off the phone with Classic Acessories and they do not make my paticular bladder anymore so I would be looking for an 8 footer.....
