Now I'm hungry!

If you guys heading out for a day trip up the Nueces be sure and stop at the gas station at the first red light, just as you get into Three Rivers where Hwy 72 intercects, and the gas station store is on the right.
They have a little cafe inside the store and sell the biggest breakfast tacos, and one fills me up. Best way to start the day on the river!

BTW, they also sell minnows!

Not familiar with that area your talking about, as I believe Chandler is up around Tyler, but as long as you stay in the river channel, such as wading, and don't cross any fences you are not tresspassing.

Once you wade either upstream or downstream and step on the bank above the normal high water mark of the river bed, you are in fact tresspassing.

Welcome to the TFF and the forum, and hopefully someone with better knowledge of the area you are speaking of, can chime in and give a more definative answer.

welcome aboard svfd

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

You are fishing the wrong river! This is the Nueces River in south texas, not the Neches.

I did the same thing a couple years ago! blush

I mistook a post about the Neches and thought it was the Nueces. Problem was I went several days and then couldn't delete my post, so that just made it worse. hammer
