Another thing everyone should consider is the amount of pressure changes we've been having. The fish need their bladders to even out before they will want to bite. All these "scenarios" from all the "experts" do play a part on the bite that we are getting. If we got another shot of rain soon, the bite would really pick up. I say the rain because I leave the Yegua to all of yall this time of year, unless I kayak, but Nails and Cedar are different when it comes to rain. smile

I saw a guy in a yak Monday that was standing up in it fishing. And log jambs, he went through those things like they didnt even exist. Boy was he ever racking up on some tackle. I saw him retrieving more tackle out of those low hanging tree limbs than he was fishing. He is a TFFer, and he goes by the name of Archer- Angler.

Boy, I'm sure thinking about going again today. Any one interested in joining me. I'm tired of catching fish by myself.

And its a tuff decision on if I would rather go get some big blacks, or haul my boat up to Monas place and launch there and run up to Reimers for whites, or just drive 45 miles to the Yegua, bank fish and catch some fish.

I'm going to the Yrgua Creek.

TFF'ers in Bryan/ College Station that want to go paddle up the Yegua Thursday. We will gather at Albertsons grocery at University Drive & Tarrow @ 7:30AM and depart shortly thereafter to Nails Creek park. If all goes well we will be on the water by 9am. The fishing should best in the late afternoon so we have plenty of time to explore and paddle.

Well it never fails, you invite folks to meet up with you on a fishing trip, and you cant get on a bite to save your life. Fish have this way of making a liar out of you every time.

But any how, I did meet up with some folks out there, and we caught a few, but not many.

My total was eleven whites, two hybrids, three crappie, and one Goo.

The fish were not upstream today, they were downstream from the bridge. The water has also come up about eight inches from my last trip which was on Monday

I also heard several stories about how people down at Newmans Bottom were catching a lot of fish on Tuesday. How they did today, I have no clue.

One guy just downstream from the bridge today was fishing with crawfish and he ended up with a limit.

What can I say, you are either in the right place at the right time, or youre not. And from what I was able to mustard up today, I would say I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, because I had a some what bad day today.

Over all though, I still had a good time on the water due to the fact that I had the opportunity to hook up with some new anglers which made it for a good day.

That's a good question. I think on my next trip out there, I'm going to NB first. If I can't find a quick bite there, then I'm headed back upstream to the bridge area.
