I wasn't ****** about Zona, I was asking a question. And guess what?? I gained alot of knowledge about the guy that most people like me wouldn't know if you don't ask.

I was watching all the Classic rerun the final day at the house. My wife sat through alot of it. She really caught on to his antics. I would catch her laughing in the kitchen when she heard him go nuts.

I did notice he spits alot over the years.

My grandma has a saliva problem. It's actually a medical condition that your mouth can't create the proper amounts of saliva. She literally carries water with her everywhere. Maybe Ike has a dry mouth problem as well?

how can you say its not a positive reflection? That is 100% opinionated, maybe to you. The bottom line is that he is a differerent kind of person, and he isnt your "typical" bass fisherman with the flat billed cap, bigger pants, skateboarding shoes. He used to be a DJ.

I think its a compliment to the sport on how far it has progressed and reached out.

To say he doesnt have a positive reflection to the sport? Why? Because he is enthusiastic? Because he has energy?

Anyways I dont think one person can speak for the entire sport. If you dont like him, then you dont like him, but dont speak for the sport of bass fishing.

All Ike's on camera antics are just that, antics and part of his brand and how he fires himself up. More power to him. I wouldn't be able to pull it off, nor would I want to.

But let me tell you this. I've had the distinct pleasure of hanging around Mike in Shreveport and now in Birmingham. In fact, he and Becky were with a large group of us celebrating Kevin's win the other night, and I sat at their table and visited awhile. Mike is one of the nicest, most down to earth people you will ever meet. He's intelligent, thoughtful and very articulate, and he really is a regular guy who can fish circles around 99.9% of us or anyone we know. And yes, he loves kids and even got up from his table and stepped outside the sports bar at the Sheraton just to visit with an 11 and 14 yr old who are my friends of mine from Shreveport.

Anyway, IKE definitely has a fire inside of him that shows in competition, but I will guarantee that any of his naysayers would feel differently if they just got to visit with him for five minutes.

What about when they interviewed Tak and he shed itawasa rgat privridge to fish in the CRASSIC.
