well just went out there from 3-about 6 pm and didnt get a dang thing. Seen some people out there but only one guy had anything. he actually had about 10-15. He went about 1.5 miles up the river from the bridge at 125. Said to find current and youll find fish. Never made it to current =(. tried every lure I had on me.

oh all this was at cedar creek

I was doing well until Ryan showed up about lunchtime and scared all the fish away LOL.. I think I had 6 ? on the stringer when Ryan met up with me and we only caught 1 each after that all day! I didn't even fish on the way up the creek I was more concerned about photographing the eagles.. and that is a whole other story.. found a dead eagle.. and have reported it to the park. No other details yet..

I tell you what...we all have caught limits of fish and we all get that rush when doing it. Today was the first time in my life I've seen a bald eagle out in the wild. I turned a corner in the creek and looked up and he/she was perched high up in a tree watching me. To see that bird gave me a rush like I was looking at a 12 point buck. I'm not saying I didn't want to limit out on whites, I was just satisfied seeing that bird. thumb

HLS and raider, what creek were yall fishing? I would love to see an eagle. Haven't seen one in the wild since back in the 80s in Colorado. Catching some fish would be nice too.

Hi - I'm a fishin mom of 3 boys who love to catch the whites. We've never tried bank fishing. Can you give me an idea of where to go in the boat to get on top of the fish? Thanks.

Hey guys-

I've been reading this board for a while, but this is my first post. I've gotten a lot of great info here, so first I want to say thanks to all of you for filling me in. Anyhow, I took my son down to the creeks today on a whim and we ended up having a pretty good day. Started at Cedar about noon, nothing doing there. There was very little if any current. So we left and went to Nails and had pretty much the same luck. On the way out we decided to stop at the 124 bridge-the water was moving a bit there, and we got into them pretty good. In about an hour we caught about 14 between the two of us in almost the same spot, using 1/8 oz curly tail chartreuse jigs fished way slow on the bottom. It was a lot of fun and we'll definitely be back soon. Thanks again.

Yall keep posting these good reports on here, then Im going to have to eat crow on what I said about waiting a week to go back to these creeks.

I had a great day at Reimers today, but the fish are much smaller than what Im use to catching out of Somerville waters. The best part about to days trip was the fact that I was able to use 4# test line and I never once lost a bait. You can make much longer cast, hook a fish in the strong current, and it takes a while to get it in. A lot more pole bending time, I put it that way.
