So have we decided on Benbrook?

Lets get this rolling, we need a roll call of all who want to help put this together. I guess whos doing what? We will have to pick a format( kids only, team including a kid, etc). I do think that people should be able to fish with whatever kid they come up with.lol My boy would disown me if I didnt take him.
Any one that wants to be a part of setting this up please PM me with what you would like to help with. It would be nice if fellow jig tyers could pitch in a couple of jigs to be given away.

Ive been working with some other kids in my neighborhood, I wound up with a couple extra rod/reel combos that i would like to donate to the kids fishing this event. I will help out in any way i can, and i wont fish it so i can Maybe have a fish fry for lunch after the fishing is over. I have a couple cookers, may need a little help to organize it and get it ready in time for everyone.

i have a good deep fryer.. i can pitch in and help w the kids and cook. if anyone wants help wade fishing ill do that as well. when we talking about???

Gonna be April 3rd at benbrook marina, as it gets closer we will get the mods to sticky a thread to the top for a couple weeks. Hope we get a good turn out, No im not taking over this event, Just helping Matt ( bikeman) out with getting it going.

As stated before, i will not be fishing it, will be on the sidelines getting things together for a fish fry after the tourney. As it gets closer may need some people to pitch in for xtras like, sides to fry with the fish etc,etc.

Also probably gonna need a head count as it gets closer also, i know right now its out there a ways and its hard for some people to commit this far away, so when it gets closer we will ask for a pretty close head count.

dont know a thing about this lake...good wading areas around that marina or will we need to boat around and find some spots? like i said i will donate a fryer and some grease...but ill be fishing the deal with at least one of my boys. we gonna do entry fees for adults..free for kids.. i guess all the details will get ironed out between now and then.

Entry will be $20 per boat.Thats 2 adults and however many kids you want. Lets try to keep this fun. If you dont want in on the tournament, come fish anyway. The kids are free entry so bring em out and let them try.
