The fly, the river, the result ...... and here I sit, unable to decide whether I love you or hate you for that..... Seriously, that was one of the finest photo essays I've ever seen, especially for being only three pictures long. You are an artist with the mouse and keyboard, sir.

...it is just too damn simple...not enough drama or angst. Exactly. It's not even a woolly worm! I need to dub on a fur collar something to fuss it up and render it less effective.

Cool, Thanks guys, I definitely have some good ideas now. Most yous clousers around here. I was looking for some different presentations and that I found. I think I will tie up a bunch of the Moreau Fly's just so I have something different to throw. Bragging and "it's my secret" rights you know.. Rick Btw. I will be fishing mostly on the San Gab, Granger and above G-town. Rick

I'm really liking that Moreau fly. I'm a sucker for equipment that is elegant in its simplicity. It reminds me of a Remington Rolling Block rifle: simple, robust, and deadly.

Moreau Fly looks quite simple. I will have to see about tying a couple of those up. I don't have that jig head, but I do have something that should work.

Awesome fly. I'll have to tie some of those up.
I use a heavy clouser...get it deep and fish it slow and hang on.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, he'll be gone every weekend.

The key to remember when chasing spawning whites in rivers/creeks is, close to the bottom for as long as possible. The very sparsely tied flies sink better, and stay down better on the retrieve. So adjust to the water flow as to how much material is on the fly. It is almost time

I think the white bass will like this one.
