I'm going all H&H and Lazy Ike next weekend at my first tournament.

when i was fishing competition on heavily pressured water my biggest money maker was my ability to throw something they had not seen, and also to fish in a way not common. being different made a huge the difference. take what is producing, and tweak it slightly, your odds will increase. my advice when i was teaching was that if twenty boats go down the same bank line, fishing in relatively the same way, the first boat and the boat that is doing something different are the ones that will catch most of the fish. those that knew me could always count on me to do something different, or be willing to go where no one else was crazy enough to be.
