Hey Ben fyi I will probably be kayaking with you guys this Thursday. Just post time and details.
Does the Yaupon camp site seem like the best point to reach Birch?

If the weather holds up we will probably launch either from yaupon park near the bathroom or from the boat ramp through Birch Creek Estates.

Heard on another forum that Newman's is closed until further notice due to high water. Anyone heard if that is the case? Hopefully the sun and wind this week will help dry it up some for this weekend...

Hopefully the sun and wind this week will help dry it up some for this weekend... The whole top end of the lake is flooded and will be way to wet to open the gate to Newmans for several weeks. But with all this water the whites will go way up stream so irwin bridge at CR124 and CR132 will be good too!

That's what I was thinking. I fished Cedar Creek a little bit on Saturday, and I remember the banks being really sandy looking. Kind of like Raider's picture. Wow! What a difference a couple of days make.
