Fished with wife today. She managed one white bass below the dam on a red roadrunner with chartreuse tail. Saw some other whites being caught but not many. We also went to Rocky Creek park for a little bit. Water is way up, wind was howling at about 20mph. Tough fishing but it was good to go fishing with the wifey.

I'm going out to Reimers Thursday and give it a try. Saw some pics of the river and man is it ever looking good for a spawn this year. You yakers need to make a trip out that way one weekend. It's a perfect place for a yak. If the lake continues to rise at the pace it is going, then a yak will be the perfect item to use out there for good stringers of fish. I think a yak would be the thing to use right now to be honest. It would allow you to fish areas that a wade fisherman cant get to. And you could use a fly rod out there and make 60 to 70 feet cast with no problem at all. The water is so clear that you can see the fish.

I passed over all the creeks around Somerville and they already look better. The Yegua is back within it's banks and dropping. Nails and Cedar have dropped as well. Should be OK by Thursday.

This is what it looks like below that hole that is posted just above. This is where the rapids are, and where the water runs into the deeper holes all long the way down towards the lake. A guy from austinbassfishing.com took these pictures last Sunday when he took his kids down there fore a recon trip. The picture above, is like a hundred to hundred and fifty yards upstream from these pics.

Ben you were right, I was on a mission to hit Nails, but I stopped a Cedar and didn't need to go any further. It was a beautiful day and I guess I was holding my mouth just right because we had our limit in exactly 2 hours. We only fished in one spot a little up from the bridge...
