I check my line and retie often. I respool the reels that need it. I use line conditioner so the ones not used heavily are fine. I respool all of them twice a year whether they need it or not. I buy the 600 and 1,000 yard spools of P-Line Premium.

YES John175! The retie (or failure to) has cost me some good fish. It only takes a few seconds to do and is cheap insurance!

Same here. Except on braid, just respool when it runs out.
