My favorite spring spot is the flats on the north side of Corpus Christi Pass. 4WD required most years. There are literally miles and miles of good wading flats along the back side of Port A though. You can get access at Packery Channel, Fish Pass, near the church which if I remember correctly is called Son of the Sea, and boat launch and power plant road which I believe is across from La Mirage condos. Used to walk in south of Island Moorings but it has been posted for the last few years. I have not checked out the newly opened Charlie's Pasture yet to see if there is reasonable access there yet.
Be more than happy to take you out while I am down there. I should arrive on the 12th and leave on the the 21st.

That's mostly the South Padre Crowd, there are small "Highlights" that happen around the Port A area but they are few & far between.

If your there to fish, you'll be OK, just have to put up with lots of extra vehicles on the roadways & bars are jammed.

If your looking for wade fishing, Both sides of the road from Aransas Pass to Port A or once you get on the Island, down past Charlie's Pasture Pier toward Island Moorings. Take a Charter, much more likely to catch something other than Piggies & Hardheads.
