OK Boys and girls, the sponsorship commitee has been working very hard and as of today we can guarantee that 1st place will pay at least 2,000 to win. These men and women associated with the Chamber have really been beating the bushes to get this money for us. We're not done yet as we still have a lot more contacts and promises yet to confirm. Right now for a 30 team field it would pay $4400 for the top 10 places. As we get more sponsors this would bring the purse up all the way down the line. Don't forget also that 11-20th place will recieve some great prizes. We're talking about concert tickets, fishing gear, bait, Cabela's gift cards, guided catfish trips and much more. This is going to be a festival highlighted by the Texas State Championship Catfish Tournament. We encourage you to bring your families with you. If you have something to sell or trade or have a business we are going to rent booth spaces for the festival and it also includes Fri. night party. Remember also if you are entered in the tourney you will recieve 2 free tickets for the catfish supper and will get free breakfast on Sunday morning. 1st of April will post complete details and full payouts. More teams we get the money will also get better. For more info call Roy at 254-723-1524 or Jody at254-645-0180.

I've been asked to conduct the church service Sunday morning. But I can't carry a one gallon tune in a five gallon bucket and would like to include a few songs. Is there anybody that could lead us in a few songs?

Just a reminder for everyone, all Central Texas Catfish tournaments are qualifying tournaments for Cabela's King Kat Trail. If you fished in the Tawakoni tournament and did not finish in the top 20 and still wanted to go to the Classic in Nov. you can fish any of the remaining Central Texas tournaments and finish 1st or 2nd you will be qualified.

We're up to $2500 added money to the purse for this tournament. Been gettin some calls about having to fish both days, You do not have to fish both days but prize money is for 2 day total weight. If you can only fish one day then you choose which lake you fish. There. is prize money for 1st, 2nd, 3rd on Sat. Also it's getting time to send me a profile of your team so we can talk you up at the team auction. It's little more than a month away and it's going to be a hoot. Don't miss this one!

Me and Hon will be there fishing from the bank. We went scouting Saturday and found a few fair but no fantastic spots. Our goal is to not come in last. Don't forget the church service Sunday AM.

Yeah Mark, Saturday money is just a bonus. It will pay 3 places for those positions after weigh-in on Sat. This does not affect the payout on Sun, if you only fish 1 day and have more weight than anyone else catches in 2 days then you are the champion. The format is just like the classic or any other 2 day tournament, you add your Sat weight with your Sun. weight and that is your total for the event. Fish 1 day only and that is your total weight for the tournament. Jody and I thought we should pay something so 1 day fisherman could have a chance to go home with some money. We're still working on getting more sponsors but as of now 10-30 teams will pay $2,000 to win, 30-39 teams will pay$2200 to win and 40plus teams will pay $2500 to win
