With the forcast as of this morning showing it not to get above 36 today, and dropping to 29 tonight, should Bass Champs consider re-scheduling? I would think the roads would be even worse, and the temp even colder the more rural you get. With fishing all ready bad is it worth tearing up truck/boat to get there? Just wondering what opinions are here. Guess we could email champs.

Sure seems like they would have to consider that. I know Media has cancelled before due to road conditions.

We have bass-n-bucks tomorrow on rayburn, same thing happened in December and they canceled. It's still snowing here and the forecast is for a low of 25. I don't see how they can re-schedule even though they should consider it. I think they should at-least delay it until the sun gets out. Should be around 55 here tomorrow.

There is supposed to be a Weekend Series on T Bend in the morning, I know first hand that if Porter can get it going it will be held.
ps: The snow is still falling here as well.

We'll let us know what he decides to do.

I want to fish as bad as everyone else but given the potential road conditions at 4:00 am tomorrow morning I would say it is probably a good idea to re-schedule.

I just tried to email them and it didn't go through, but I called the number on their web site and was able to leave a message on the phone. I'm sure they have to be considering doing something.

I would push for people to make decisions that are good for themselves and not what they think is good for everyone else.

I would love to see you push Chad to do anything... its the TD CALL not the participants...

They need to do the same with Media Fork. It is ridiculous to expect someone to take $100k in vehicles out in this stuff. I have not gotten anywhere with Media. DEAD SET on it.

I say leave it, if you feel safe driving there drive, if you don't then don't.

I'm not meaning this mean, but no one makes you drive to the lake and fish.

If you change one tournament then every division will start trying to argue some point later on...To Windy, To Rainy, To Hot, To Cold.

I can say this from being on both sides. Anglers think how it will be easier for them to move dates ECT. Bass Champs is a pretty full event, and even when they have a week off it's much Needed and Deserved.

If they do anything it would probably have to be a Complete Cancel.

Ask Jay about moving tournament....LOL even at a bass club level he got roasted.

Just my .02

I am worried about it too...I emailed Chad, Jeff and Joy to see what their plans are. It should be postponed but we will see
