Thanks and the parka and bibs are outfitter series gortex from Cabelas. I had some gift cards a few years ago I had to use. I would not normally buy a $200 parka or bibs like that. Also got the 1600 gram thinsulate Irish Setters from there bargain cave and I was pretty toasty last night.

Congrats!!! I believe that could go in the record book for biggest fish out of GV lake on 6 lb line. Not sure if this is a doable thing but you may want to check. I know many lakes have reported records based on line size. Also, its your fish but you want to consider returning her back home.

Wonder if I qualify for catch and release since she is still alive and I had her weighed on certified scales? Grapevine is wide open for that one. Grapevine does not have a bass listed under the catch and release record.

Great fish! I keep telling guys, if they want a shot at a real pig you got to get out at night. I just can't convince anyone to pull their big girl panties up and go. A lot of prespawn fish move near the shallows (around breaks and creeks) preparing for spawn and will move real shallow at night to feed. Congrats!
