Looks like Choke is all but finished. I bet you that was the last big fish in the lake.
Congrats! What a fish! Not the last, but still another one bites the dust to Sharelunker! First things first though, Congrats on catching a great fish! I truely congratulate you and hope that you had a great time! To the guy that caught the fish, please do not think I am singleing you out in any away. My beef is with the Sharelunker program! I just think that TX lakes would be better off with there biggest fish released back into the water after caught instead of hauled away without much chance at survival! They are trying to produce a 20 lber but they are taking fish out of the water that would be 20 lbs in a few yrs if left in the water. Not to smart if you ask me! We really need to create a new system! Im all for letting people have their accolades for catching big fish, but I am against this misguieded system that has killed far more big fish than it has ever created! Once again, Congratulations to the gentleman that caught the fish.

Just wanted to share some more information about the care of my big catch.Water temp. 59 degrees, livewell water temp.60 degrees with the aid of ice.The aerators were on the whole time. I always use Sure life Please release me.The pictures at the boat 30 seconds and the weigh in was less then 2 minutes.I was doing my best to care of what I thought was a 12 lb. fish.Regardless of the size the fish there care is important to me.
Richard

I was told she was not full of eggs.I'm no Biologist.I have read some theories about their movements during the spawn.

I promise she IS full of eggs. Great job Richard, and great pic! Doesn't look like she's full of eggs for a fish that big. I would think she would be a lot more swollen. That big 'ol body can hold some eggs too.

I predicted a 17-18 lb. Bass out of Choke this year. There were, I believe, 4 Bass in the 15lb. range last year. Great looking fish-!!!!! Rio
My stringer is getting there!!
