Simpleman and I got there at sunrise. It was our first time at Lavon, and it sure was cold.It seemed to get colder as the morning passed. We went to what seemed like all over that lake without success. The lake was rough and choppy. Water @ 47 degrees. Did anyone else bear the cold at Lavon? I hope tourney day goes better than today. Oh, I did manage one of these......

That was a nice trash fish 5 lb 12 oz but we would have traded it for a crappie any day.

Yeah, went up to Texoma and that water was muddy as heck. Fished for 2 hours and caught 4 fish with 2 keepers. Had to knock them in the head. Momma is making me go to church in the morning so unfortunately no fishing tomorrow for me.

Mike and I saw them on the sonar but couldn't hold stll enough to catch 'em. Not just the wind, we were shaking in our boots.
Once my toes get cold, I'm done and they were very cold. I don't expect the tourney to be much better weather. Never is.
We could see our breath and I think I had a little frost on the moustach.
violin
I will be bringing my electric gloves next time.

I think I'll wear some extra socks and sweaters next time too. Toe's were hurting that's for sure. Gonna have to come up with a better game plan for the tourney....Back to the drawing board.
