"The thing you like best about your boat is.... Dependability and toughness, my boat has to stand up to a busy tournament schedule year after year.. I keep my rides for a good long while, I don't believe turning them every 1-2 yrs like some. I want to get my moneys worth from my investment.. The seller of this boat is a very knowledgeable angler. If he says the boat is top notch and it is in the age group your looking for ---I wouldn't pass on it. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...5_Optima#UNREAD Yeah, that boat looks like it's received a lot of love.

Ranger 205 Merc 225 101 Minn Kota Color Graphs/GPS front & rear
Positives Great rough water handling Reasonably fast (for a Ranger) Plenty of trolling motor for even the windiest days Gel coat still looks brand new
Negatives Poor fuel economy Front deck too small for two anglers (needs the flipping deck insert) No remote oil fill Tan carpet shows spots and stains (get gray carpet)

2003 521 Ranger w/ 250 Mercury only 16 more payments. Plenty of storage and a big front deck that three people can fish from. One of the best rough water riding boats I have been in.

Doesn't everyone think they are getting all that? You can do all the research you want and doesn't mean your guages or handles arn't going to fall off
Long casting deck Lots of storage Good looking of course hahaha Nice riding and driving boat is probably the most important to me. I also want something that is not goin to be falling apart like gauges and hangles falling off.
Smoke on!

I have a TR20. Wish I had either a smaller boat for garage storage. OR, wish I had a bigger boat for a better ride in rough water. The 200 Yama is way more that enough power so I also wish I had spent more money on electronics and TM and put a 175 on it.

From a ride standpoint, I hear that Champion is the best, but I've never been in one. I have been told that when fishing the Champion will bob up a down because the bow is higher off the water. Again, this is coming from what others said. I got a BassCat Pantera Classic because the ride is smooth even in the roughest water, and it is stable on the bow while fising. Plus I got a great deal on a 2000 that was well maintained with a 200 HP Merc. It has a flippin deck insert, so there is tons of deck up front.

You absolutely can't beat the price I paid for my boat, but not having one at all isn't all it's cracked up to be.
I have a Largemouth at home....sometimes she lets me go fishing.
