Went to Lewisville today. On the lake at 1pm, off at 4pm. Went right to dead mans and didnt see much. Went a little north of there, where the trees start and it drops off from 8ft to 20+ feet. The hybrids were schooling like crazy! Shad everywhere. You could see large schools of shad just under the surface. I had 3 other friends on the boat and we all caught 30 plus. Most were small to med hybrids but caught several legal size. Had a blast. All released.

We passed by you about 1:30. I saw your boat over by the white house, but we headed towards twin poles. We saw some birds working and had the same results as yall.

TX, what kind of boat do you have? I have a cream color Sea Chaser CC. I started to go to twin poles after the action slowed. But I didnt have much time to fish so I stayed put. I saw the birds working that area on my way back to the ramp. Im gonna be back out on Monday around noon with one of my buddies from yesterday.

I have a blue and white Skeeter fish/ski. If you see me, come by and say hello. I'm usually sitting in the front with a pole in one hand and a beer in the other

What a difference a day makes. Went out about 7:00 am Saturday morning, caught shad at the White house . Went to 4-5 popular spots with no luck. There were tons of bait and carp at white house but very few Hybrid. Ended up with one striper and one large sandie. we caught them at the cut while cooking out. I guess it was the weather again. They seem to bite better on Blue Bird days. Bob Blue Polar

Hey 3day, Dont let my post fool ya. When I first got to the lake, I couldnt find anything. I had 3 buddies with me and they were giving me a hard time about how I always catch fish when im by myself and no one to witness it. I fish by myself alot. When I got to dead mans the water was like glass and all the birds were sleeping. I caught the schools there on tuesday and was determined to catch them again just to feed my buddies crow. anyway, I camped out there in the HEAT for a while then moved a little north, cuz I saw two little ol birds hitting the water. Once we got there, the fish blew up! there was a ton of shad and alot of carp, but the hybrids were there too. so it worked out. The last couple of weeks I have been getting on the lake at sun up, but didnt do much for the first several hours. This past week been doing better in the afternoons, you just have to deal with the heat. but you forget about the heat when the fish are expolding around the boat and your the only boat there. I will be out in the same spots on monday afternoon. I'll be in a creme sea chaser with a buddy in a red challenger.

By the way, how were the guys doing with the shad?
P.S. Its "Grove" as in Pleasant Grove, not "Groove" as in the 60's. Haa, just kidding.

Hey Fly, That was me. I started to come over and see if you were one of the Lund owners from this site. I have seen ya'll out there before. Your boat looks like it does well in the 10' swells that we were in today. I'll be back out tomorrow about noon or so, anywhere from Twin Poles to deadmans. I was only out for a few hours, caught 25 or so, a couple were 15". How did yall do? At dead mans, I ran into "Crappie Fisher" in a nice pontoon. We had the birds right between us. 1/2 mile of water all around us and the knuckleheads would motor right over the school. I hate fishing on the weekends.
