I saw a post on here about scroungers but couldnt find it,,anyway for those who care,,,I just ordered some scroungers( Back ordered). The guy was telling me that the original manufacturer went under. Now lucky craft has bought the rights to the scrounger and has been producing them for around 1 week so far. At first they are only producing 1/4 ounce because it is the most popular and has the largest number of back orders. After they catch up on those they will put into production other sizes. Hopefully Ill have mine in a week or two.

Luck-E-Strike, from Missouri, is making them. Not Lucky Craft from Japan.

Check them out on Pg. 277 of the 2010 Bass Pro Shops Master Catalog.

Guys...that is a DEAL!!! That is a 4pk price. They were previously sold in a 2pk for about the same price.

The Lucky "E" Strike scrounger heads may never come about. Notice BPS does not have any. This was a buisness deal that went way bad between Luck "E" Strike and Aaron Martin's. It look like Lucky "E" Strike may have put their "cart before the horse"! This is one reason the Scrounger heads are hard to find, simply because the baits where not being produced for several months. In the end we (the fishermen) are being punished, these are unbelivable baits when fished correctly. I know www.allstartackle.com still has a few of the 1/4oz. in stock and you can email me, because I have more then what is showing in stock.

Just to clarify:

This was a business deal that indeed went bad. Not between AAron Martens personally but, with AAron Martens Lures. There was hopes of a big step forward, just didn't pan out between them. I won't get into the specifics of everything and certainly don't wish to point any fingers but, since then, everything has since went tits up and yes, we (the fisherman) are suffering for it. If Luck E Strike somehow manages to get a version of the scrounger available at the BPS listed price, it has been waaaaaay cheapened. I will bet it wont have a super sharp gammi anymore let alone, the correct plastic bill to get the right action. All quality will be down the tubes imo. You get what you pay for!

I can bet an original version of the scrounger will be back before too long, just is a bummer since all the hype is right now. I know all you guys are looking for 1/4oz but, let me tell you that some of the biggest bass caught on this bait have come on the 1/8ths in high pressure CA lakes and the 3/16oz so, if you can find any. Some are better than none.
