I went today and didn't know if you had a boat and was going to offer. I came home with 25 crappie and 25 white bass. After each limit I did some catch and release.

Damfisherman, we have caught some good cats down there but this winter they decided to find another place to hang out. Usually this time of the year I can catch some really good blues.

Matt,

Where can you put in a boat at to fish below the dam? I haven't been down there in years. Thinking about going there this Sat. if the weather doesn't dampen things.
Thanks

You can launch on either side of the river. I prefer the east side. You have to pay at Browders. It is on FM 3278 and about 2 miles west of the river. If we get any rain you may want to check the TRA website and see if they increased the discharge. If they increase it much you might want to find another place to fish until it goes back down.

Might want to check and see how much water is being released tomorrow or sunday before you go if we get this rain. If we get the rains above the lake they will start releasing a lot of water and it will shut it down. I know several people that want to go and I keep telling them that it can be good this weekend if it does not rain much in the lake or above it. If they open 3 or 4 more gates it will shut it down for a few days. If they don't increase the flow then it will be good and the boats and bank fishermen will be as thick as fleas on a dawgs back down there.

Matt
