The CL60A is the ones that I got. Right out of the box I took one apart and looked at it. Really simular to the guts of an Abu without any plastic parts.
IF you are going to try and surf cast with these reels you will really need to clean them and play around with the settings a bit before you toss them. They seem to not toss as good as an abu until you get them really loose (casting control knob)
I am going to try some different oil on the bearings to see if that helps the castability of these reels. On average about 10% less distance than the Abu's. Same line, rods, weights, and everything else.
The drag tension spring (between drag star and reel handle) seems to be slightly flattened right out of the box. I took my reels handles off and bent the spring a little bit and fixed that. No more problems. The drag is about same as a 6500, no more no less.
The clicker is not loud at all. I am going to try and fix this before the summer, but not high on my priority list since it is not flathead time yet.
I can not really give a thumbs up or down just yet. No major complaints, just small things so far. One big plus is that Stingray Tackle was really helpful while I was researching and ordering the reels. I even ordered the back up parts for the reels that break or wear out on all reels (worm gear and pawl)

Here are a couple of bruisers that were caught on the Bass Pro reels. They will cost you $29.99 each. That will leave you enough $$ to put some string on it. Another plus is they have very loud clicker.

All of the above fish were caught on the Bass Pro reel.
