As far as the alarms Delk are good, is all personal preferance. Pod wise you need to decide what style fishing will you be doing most. Will it be on a concrete pad or wooden deck or in the grass or rocks? My Nash 4play pos has spikes for soft ground and screw on feet for hard surfaces. I have used the feet quite a few times fishing the metroplex so they definitely come in handy. Nash pod
They only drawback to the pod is the ability to point the rod tips way high unless you buy taller bank sticks. I have yet for this to be a problem here in Texas but can imagine once the zebra mussles take over we might be fishing tips up.

As far as the stalker I personally don't like the design but I know others on here have them and like them. I believe badchade has one

Thanks for the tip Scott. Really the only place I ever use a pod is Grapevine, which is a rocky sandy shore where we usually fish. But that will probably change in the future once I get a 3rd Euro setup and branch out to more of the lakes. The reason I was leaning toward the Stalker is the first pod I had was an A-Pod, which I liked other than the fact that it's second hand, beat to he!! and now lopsided. I liked the overall design of it but I wanted something more adjustable, which is why I was thinking Stalker. And I like that I just need a couple of stormpoles to make it an upright pod, which, like you said, could come in handy someday.

I do like the looks of that Nash pod. And the fact that it's nearly $40 cheaper might cinch it.

Hey Scott I ended up going with your suggestion, got the Nash pod.

I received it Fed Ex today and it seems awesome, rock solid! I love the bag too.

I also got a JRC rig wallet (trying to streamline my pack so I can get everything comfortably in one trip) and some odd terminal tackle.

Unfortunately, my two alarms (Delk EV Plus) were shipped out of Connecticut for some reason so they won't be here till next week.
