Carey I love your hustling spirit. A Man , a truck, and determination, and belief in yourself. Good on ya!!!!
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I went today for about 3 hours and got skunked. I have no idea what I'm doing. I found some spots that had fish but they were elbow to elbow and I couldn't fish there. Maybe next time.

they dont shut off, they spread out and suspend eating shad all night. try a bobber and jig in the deep pockets 3-4 ft down. thats the pattern i picked up there.

First off i want to say that besides being exciting, fishing with Carey is one of the smartest things you can do!!!! why is that you might ask! well having a regular 9-5,a typical wife with a typical 2 yr old and no access to a boat of any sort, time on the water can really take a back seat..how many of you out there (lurkers and all) can relate?? yeah i thougt so! having said that, if you are are out there in the water and you are not catching any fish, its not because there are no fish or any other excuse u want to use, its because you dont know what the heck youre doing! might sound harsh to some but its the truth and it was me before fishing with Carey, you are wasting your time if i may say so myself, time that most of us dont have am i right? yes i know i am! dont like to waste my time and neither do most people yet time and time we see it happen and it happened to me before quite a bit..
let me give an example..this past trip, while we were catching fish left and right(carey said it was a slow day )people next to us fishing in the same place just some feet away were coming with high hopes and going home empty handed!the fish were there its just that they were taking the wrong approach, people came and went, including some that tried to fish in our spot opposite from us and skunked out! im not gonna lie, that felt very good, very good indeed!!! no body and i mean NOBODY cough any fish other than us while we where there!! and i bet the people that where there moved in to where we were just as we left and i bet they didnt catch a darn thing..so yeah i feel prety good and confident that i can go out there again and get the same results that i did while i was with carey!!
trips with carey will more then pay for themselves in the long run as you will learn valuable info (what to do, but most importantly, what NOT to do) that would take a lot of trial and error on ones part to figure out if done alone, not to mention the spots he will introduce you to, being out in the water with him is just like being out with one of your friends because you get a certain feel of comradery right from the start and you immediately start to feel like one of the guys!!
I will definitely fish with him again and very soon! Here are some more pics from your outing, the bites varied from through out the morning but the fish were constant, as you can see we also cought some real nice sandies and some yellows from keychain size up to slab and magnum size respectively, we missed a whole bunch of fish at first due to the fact that crappie bite is subtle and we were excited im sure there are a lot of fish there with torn lips due to extreme hook sets from our part. Nevertheless, like i said, the day progressed and so did we. Thanks again Carey and see you soon!!!

well went down there today to a certain spot since i had to find the m again and limited out plus 30. at first had a lot of yellow bass then the crappie turned on about 4pm till dark. left with a limit and they were still biting. today they wanted a small jig unlike the other days of the big jig. they were biting very light today. then others started seeing me catching fish and it got very crowded real quick. i left with my limit plus threw back 30 that was 11 or under. had to keep the jig in place while using the jig and bobber. they are getting thicker in there. go find them. if you come to deeper water just be patient, i was in the same area for 3 hours before they turned on real good. try different depths and colors till you find what they want. most of the time i was catching 10 to 1 of others cause i figured out what depth and size and color they wanted. today i was using a small jig where other days was a 3 inch jig. just keep at it you willl figure them out. if you see a guy with a bass pro hat and a dark brown jacket thats me say hi and ill tell you what i have found out so far. i try to get out there as much as i can take care all mark
