Hit the creek at 1 PMish. Caught well over 50 crappie a piece. only kept them if they were over 12 inches, i forgot my crappie taco so i didnt want to mess with the small ones. caught plenty from 9 inches to 14 all day. got really cold so we left at dark with a limit each. All fish caught on hand tied jigs- "Made by yours truly....."

Jeff, with a keeper.

They were biting at the creek today no doubt. I saw a slew of slabs caught at the bend around 4'ish.

what a day to NOT have the gear with me!

Nice Carey. Enduring the cold temps was admirable and loading up on those fish looks great.

nice report

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Went to flag pole hill today. I saw one crappie caught and a bunch of yellow bass, so left there and went to a different place on the creek and found some that were willing to bite. its not anywhere close to flag pole hill thou. all fish were in about 4-7ft of water that i caught were actually in the current. started with a jig bobber then went to a double jig on the bottom, which produced most of the fish for me. at one time it was every cast then slowed down when others showed up where i was fishing then it went dead and couldnt buy a bite. May have been from all the noise they were making. Doesant matter thou have all winter to find more spots to catch them at lol. this place didnt really look that great and actually deeper in other areas, so fish all the areas throughy then move on, since the fish can be anywhere in the creek right now since they are still running up the creeks right now. I started with a jig and bobber caught one then worked the area over and found them in a area no bigger then a 10 by 10 area.,but had to do a double jig setup to catch them, if i wouldnt have went to that setup then i would have only caught a few crappie today
take care

i keep seeing this about the creek and everything. Are yall in boats or accessing these places from the bank? I have a small bass hunter that i would rather fish out of if possible. Anyone who wants to go is welcome as well haha.
