my dad caught one in Ivie about 10-12 yrs ago...pulled it up and almost stuck his hand in its mouth but thankfully saw the teeth...didnt know what the heck it was till he remembered one of the biologist there saying they had stocked some in there at one time...don't ever know if it was cold enough for them so i dunno if you would ever catch anymore

Being from the Texas Panhandle I can say that Lake Meridith has walleye in it.I never heard of any large fish being taken but they are in there and the lake gets cold enough to support them

I catch them out of Meredith, greenbelt, Palo-Duro, and Mackenzie during this time of year every year. meredith is by far the best for catching big walleye. Last year my best was a little over 8lbs, this year so far is about a 4pounder. yes we have Walleye in Texas but mostly up in the Panhandle where it gets a lot colder in the winter.I will post some pics for you guys when I have more time. In fact Meredith holds the state record for walleye it was like 11.7 pounds and the state record smallmouth was almost 8lbs.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

The lakes around Abilene have a lot of Saugeye, a hybrid walleye I think. Catch them on bass lures on occasion and they are a hoot...

Caught some today, they were in shallow weeds. There is a city lake here stocked. They taste BETTER than crappie if you can believe that.

There are still some northerns to catch on Town Lake (Ladybird). I've been wondering about that. Did they reproduce or are there just humongous northerns still in there? I saw a reference that there are plenty of predators to keep the small carp in check in LBL. Would those northerns be them?
