Bofly, fishing the timber has been really good for me; been catching some really nice sized fish. Saturday morning was really slow; even my fishing calendar showed to be better later in the day and that's what I heard from others. Oh well, I'll try again this Friday morning.

Crappiemaster, keep on preachin'...they'll get it someday. Your tips, maps and info are appreciated.

As for wind... I helped a man, his wife, and his two little girls on an 8' jon boat with a small outboard out there. He was loosing the thrust battle to the wind and taking on water. Talk about a die hard fisherman! I had a 14' fiberglass good-ol-trihull bass boat. Wind and lack of catching has kept me from going back to fish Granger. I think I have been out there three times in the last five years with no success. Perhaps I should get back out there and try that bobber/jig thing now that I have jigs that really catch crappie(in clear water).

I have heard lots of stories about coolers full of slabs, but I have never seen anyone post pics of their catch from that lake. I guess it's because those that know how to catch, don't care for any of that new-fangled technology....digital cameras, etc.

Wishin' I was catchin'....
R

Where do they go when they're not there???

There's plenty of fish being caught on this lake if you know where to look for them. Don't tell this little boy there's no fish in Lake Granger; He'll prove you wrong! HaHa fish

RAM I'll bite. Here are a few pics I have online. We normally don't take many pics of Granger fish because it's pretty routine for Crappie and Cats. BTW - Sharecropper, Nice Slabs.

Why not lay off CrappieMaster, he came on here and did what most would never do. He gave good advise and some GPS Waypoints. I know I for one appreciate it quite a bit.
Good luck CrappieMaster, and thanks for the help you gave me through the email.

Went to Granger on Thursday, fished the main lake brush , because the wind was done for the first time in a while. Caught 15 keepers in about 4 hours. Still want to fish the timber in Willis but can't figure out how to get my boat in the middle of all those stumps.

Time2gofish,

Do you not have a trolling motor on your boat?
