I've never fished it but I would think below the dam would be a good place for kittys as well as stripers. And welcome to the TFF.

Think Spotlite is looking for another place besides the dam, on the Sherman Side. Must be some good places to bank fish other than the dam. I know that some of the good people on here will give him some ideas of where he might try.

During the winter just about anywhere you can get a shad in the water. You need to spend sometime driving around finding out how to get areas of the lake and what times the gates open in certain areas. Sand Point in Hagerman is awesome in the winter, Eisenhower can be good as well. PAradise cove is a pretty good area in a North wind. Rocky point is good if you do not mind a walk. The boat ramp Mill Creek is good. Highport is good as well in the winter. Just spend sometime fishing and you will get it done.

The point between Mill Creek and Big Minneral arm is a good place, you used to could drive down to the water, but the last time I was there they had it blocked off, but that was about 3 years ago, it may be open again now! The Point at Big Mineral Camp is a good place too!!! Hope this helps!!!
Good Luck to Ya!!!

The point is still blocked unless you can get private land access.

Private land access? Would that be a pair of wirecutters, shovel, or something more industrial lol.

They have given you some good info, i would add that i have caught some giant blues in the past off the shore around the VFW using surf rods to get way out. The lake record was caught in hagerman in the winter.

Besides he is getting older and can't really think very well anymore. This is some great stuff though I might just have to join him for a weekend of Blue hunting. Still love him though. I watched a Bass Fishing tape one time by John Fox, and he said look for shallow water, close to deep water, with an abundance of food!!!
If you will keep this in mind, I think it will help you out!!!
