none in texas, but I have caught many back home in Iowa growing up. We go to canada every year and I will tell you I helped net a 9lb wally for my buddy. Try fighting that fish on 6lb line. That was awesome to see...

Caught one in Belton about 1980. They were stocked sometimes in the 70's. I have had two different people tell me about catching what they thought were baby walleyes in cast nets, but I don't think so.

In the mid '70's while stationed at Ft. Hood I caught a couple from Lk Belton-at that time I was told one of them was a lake record at about 3 1/2 lbs.

My Grandfather and I used to catch them on Cypress Springs, I remember when there was not one house on that lake. We would troll big ole hellbenders for them. This was 35-40 years ago.

Never caught one in Texas. I did catch one in Arkansas on vacation last summer. I would like a guestimate on what yall think it weighed. I had a blast with this one. Our vacation was fun. Lake Hamilton Ar. (the property owner said that is the only fish he ever saw caught on the dock)

As a kid I remember seeing dead ones on the shore at lake lewisville when we camped there. Loooong time ago. They must have been stocked there at one time and obviously did not survive.

I used to live an hour from Lake Erie so I've caught plenty of Walleye....We used to fish in the Maumee river in the spring when they were running and wear them out....To this day that is the most people I have ever seen lined up fishing...2000 people elbow to elbow in the riffle areas and at least that many scattered out in every backwater or place you could get to the rivers edge to fish....It would be awesome if Texas had good Walleye fishing...

I am planning on trying for some today!
A bad day on the lake is much better than a good day at work!

with White River Reservoir probably being your best bet on Walley with a whopping 2,500,000 walley and Palo Duro reservoir had over 3,500,000 fry stocked. TPWD is doing a little experiment there.WR has become over run with stunted (4-6")crappie the last few years. They are hoping the walley's will clear out a bunch of them !! The best tasting fish feeding on the second best tasting fish? Gonna be some delicious.
