Increase the penalty for caught cheaters. Cheaters will find a way but once they are caught they should be made an example of to deter future cheaters.

There should me a mandatory boat check. All rod boxes, livewells, storage and ice chest checked.

I know that will be hard to do, especially with smaller run trails and events. But if guys show up at the ramp knowing there is no boat check, then there's never any fear.

Anglers need to be more vocal to their TD's and the TD's need to be more concerned what they are saying and make decisions to try and prevent theifs from going on for years doing it. After all its the anglers who see fishy stuff on the water not the TD's.

Way to many variables... what if that fish swallowed a shakey head or just a hook over the last few days? I know I have caught fish trying to "poop" out a hook, and I have seen a 4 lb fish literally swallow a spro frog... I could see the metal detector leading to alot of fish being cut open at weigh in to prove ones innocence. Just my opinion.

We may not come up with any reasonable ideas, but with the number of folks reading these topics and thinking about the subject, a little discussion couldn't hurt. You never know, we may stumble across a few workable procedures that TDs can implement.

Well this forum alone helps, get a tournament director thread for only tournament directors, share info and concerns across the trails.

Some of this stuff on RR that has been shared here blows my mind.

We will discuss if a TD's private forum on the TFF is something beneficial.

This is at least one potentially good idea that has come from this topic. thumb

Why not offer a bounty (reward) for turning in a cheater. Offer this to all In the Tx or not. I fish as much as I can but I do not Tournament fish. Just a little more police on the water. Just a thought

next thing you know everyone who gets beat will be turning someone in, or if someone gets to a spot first then must be cheating.... etc
