Yeah, even though I didn't get to meet all of you that came, it was nice getting to meet the few of you I did get to meet. I wish I could have gotten there earlier. Oh well, there's always the next one. I'm hoping to catch another flattie tonight to post on here, so hopefully tonight will go better than it did today

Had lots of fun out there today despite the less than great fishing. It was really nice as Larry said just to meet everyone and put faces to screen names. Also want to thank Tom, his dad and others as well for running things very smoothly out there and putting together a great fish fry after the tourney (good stuff)
There should be some pics of the event posted later or maybe tomorrow as a saw a few that had cameras out there.

I'm just sooooo glad the wind kicked up in the afternoon to save my shallow fishing, or it was gonna be ugly for us with the water releasing. We caught our fish today as usual fishing shallow bushes in the wind.

My brother (Chad) caught a nice slot fish around 12:30 that went 18 lbs or so but was too long 37 inches to weigh in. That slot really makes the tournament weights tricky and not as fun, but I'm glad it's there and it will really help out the big fish in the long run.




Our best keeper fish today went around 9.6 with the rest being average sized blues and a few channels mixed in.


Sure hope we can do it again sometime maybe in the spring with a better turnout and less water in the lake.

It was good to see you and Chad again Eric, I know you was worried at lunchtime, but yall sure smoked us this afternoon, glad to see them nice fish in the shallows again!!! WTG!!!

Tiny , same thing on Eagle Mountain .....slow bite up north as well...sure looked good with all the new water ....what is your opion on why the were so slow in the shallow up north..?

We(myself and Strictlycatfish) were over fish all day, could not get any bites. We had great bait(fresh shad) and couldnt get ONE?! We sure had a great time though!!! I want to thank Gotta Bite for getting me out of trouble in the morning. Battery died, jumper cables were not in my truck, and he was able to find a pair for me. Thanks again Gotta Bite !!!

Thanks all you guys that fished the tourny! I'm very pleased to meet ya'll. I had several good laughs hangin out with ya'll...a good group of fun guys. Cables? Customer service, that's just how we roll! And thanks for helping fill my picture wall.

Ok guys Im getting worried. I had Tom picked to win this thing, and he didnt . Now its the day after and he hasnt been on yet. WHAT DID YALL DO TO HIM! I bet hes still fishin.

I was wondering the same thing. Thought for sure he would have posted something on here by now. He was a fish frying machine though, he might be worn down from that and all of those huge waves yesterday afternoon as well. I'm still staggering around from those this morning
