Hello. I have lived in the Denton County area since I was born. However, fishing has just recently became a hobby, an my life. I mostly fish Lake Lewisville, catfish and bass are my main focus. I am here to ask for any help i can get!! I need to see if anyone knows anything about lake lewsville; where are the best fishing spots...? also, what lures are best for bass around sept-december... please if anyone can help a youngster gain more knowledge on bass fishing, that would be great!!! smile

I am assuming you are fishing out of a boat. If so, right now fish any of the main points that lead back into coves. Focus on 1-10 ft of water. In the mornings try trowing a crank bait in any shay color. Make sure you make contact with any structure. Also if you have a fish finder locate any shad schools. They should be easy to find or see jumping in the area. Later in the day as the sun comes out switch to a watermelon 6" tx rigged worm. Fish the shady side of any structure. As fall gets colder and the water temps drop to 70 and 68 degrees fish back into the coves. Hope this helps and good fishing.

Most people i know that fish LL are tournament fishermen. And you know they will not tell you any spots. I have fished this lake all my life and still cannot guarantee stringers everyday. Watermelon is a great color for plastic. A crankbait is usually nice as well as a couple top waters for morning bite. Good Luck

the marinas are good in the mornings and evenings, even in the afternoon on cloudy cool days. They should be moving getting ready to move to creek mouths and creek channels soon as the weather cools. Shad and brim colors are good in the marinas.
topwaters in the morn and even, crank baits afternoon. t-rigged worms, lizards, greens, red greens, and pumpkinseed work work O.K.

This time of year just tie on a crankbait and put the t-motor on high and throw it until your arm falls off. That should get you some good action.

Fishing pro, my wife and I have a tournament there this next weekend and I have never been on the lake before. We are staying at the Lake Park Campgrounds there and launching out of the ramps there. It is a two day tourney. I am just gonna drop the trolling motor and start fishing since we will not be able to prefish. If we catch any I will let you know how and where when we get back the next week. This will be one tourney that I am lost as a goose on...lol We have been staying with my mom who fell and broke her arm (shes 85) so no prefishing for us. Hopefully just the fishing instinct will kick in and let me know what the fish are doing. I'll let ya know when we get back how that works.....

Head up into Cottonwood- when you can see the Little Elm water tower, put the trolling motor down. Jigs, spinnerbaits, and shallow cranks on the North bank. Also the Corinthians Yacht Club Marina on the old lake side holds a lot of fish- fish the rock jetty on the north entrance and the retaining walls between the slips in the A.M. Good Luck!!!

Tower Bay marina is always a good place to fish. Try behind the slips and any structure that you can find. Gets a little crowded, but there is a reason for that.

Just my partners. Seems to be a working plan in a business of product knockoffs & anglers looking for shortcuts instead of putting in the hard work. Perhaps my 4 polygraphs in the last 6 months on 4 different trails has been outdone by any other angler in the DFW area this year?
I have offered some insight on Lewisville on several tournaments I've competed in this year for those of you interested. You can view my latest news at my website. Be blessed.
