if your coming from the pleasure island bridge heading towards louisiana. maybe 2 miles before you get to the causeway bride where the umphrey peer used to be there is a road to the left. i have fished up and down that road and i always bring home a limit of reds. the night before last we caught 6 keepers in less than 20 minutes and the day before that we caught 8 in about 4 hours on live shrimp, mullet, and pogey. you can catch more bait than you can fish with it right where your fishing but you cant let the net get real deep and bring it in high and fast because of the rocks

lifes a garden dig it

Try Texas Bayou, take a right in between the plants go all the way down till you get to past a four way till you have to take a left or a right. Take a right there will be a bridge. Thats texas Bayou, great place for shore fishing if you use artis or live/dead bait.

Take Um'!
