I think it does. I always wear cotton undrneath it. However, that's the only cotton I wear when it's cold. Cotton provides little or no protection from the cold, but I gotta' have it under that wool.

As long as I can keep my head, feet and hands covered and warm I'm good all day.

If i can keep the bottom half of my body warm it seems like the rest of me does much better. I start with good wool socks with a silk undersock and boots. I make sure my polypro thermals are under/tucked into my socks so there is no air leaking out around my feet. If its just nasty cold, over my polypro long johns I wear wool wader pants. They have stirrups on them so they don't ride up in your waders. I can get my fat baggies jeans over them all. I then have a base of poly pro long johns as my first layer on top. Again, they are tucked into my bottoms 9At least until I have to pee). This is followed by a cotton tee shirt and then a heavy wool sweater and then mu duck hunting parka. I will also wear a wool false turle neck thingy that the full turtle neck with flaps that tuck under my first layer of upper clothing. A wool stocking hat and goves and I am set.

Under Armour , Muck rubber boots , and the very best ccold wether rain gear I have ever worn....Rivers West.....took it all to colorado this past week Elk hunting and in 20 degree raining wheather was warm and dry ! Will be wearing them all this winter fishing for the big cats ! Check out Rivers West on the web. you will pay for quality but it is the very best I have put on.

I've got a pair of the knee high rubber insulated boots from Bass Pro. I've got a set of the silk lined fleece camo outer wear with windstopper from Remington. If it gets really cold I've got a big down jacket that one of the old salts that retired from my office gave me that I cut the patches off of. Thinwalled Neoprene gauntlet gloves if it's really nasty. I work in the cold and the hot so I'm kinda used to being in it plus I hunt too. Some days a hoodie and long pants will do me fine where as my friends that live in an office have to bundle up like they're about to compete in the Iditarod.

Whiskey first off long johns, good pair of boots ,T-shirt, blue jeans and light weight jacket thats all you need.

Wool socks. Good boots. Under armour. Then jeans,long sleeve t shirt. Hoodie. Then I have my down ski bibs and a jacket. Then a good north face beanie. I stay toasty no matter how fast I go across the lake. Gonna try my motorcycle helmet this winter.

Because i have to stand on the side line of many soccer games from Dec thru March i have found the best cold gear to wear after many trials. I wear underarmor brand long sleave tops and bottoms under a long sleave cotton thick sirt and jeans. Then i went to academy and bought a Columbia brand jacket and matching pants. I wear that over the clothes above with Justin work boots that keep my feet warm and dry. The material is water resistant and keeps the cold out well. Columbia makes the best outdoor wet and cold jakets and matching pants that are insulated well. I think it was around $100 for the jacket and pants. Also, gota have the tabogin.

fire water and being an indian is not a very good match. I think I will wait until after the fish trip and then have a few beers to celebrate myself being able to go fishing and making it back home safe.

Nothing can help you from the cold. Either you can take the cold or not that's the only thing i can think of. I can not take the cold so i watch WFN all day lol

high boots, high wool socks, long johns and a Cabela's dry-plus parka and a really thick beanie usually does the trick for me.
