Was out on Hubbard today. Tough bite but the ones we got were good! Smallest keeper was around 3.5 lbs and the biggest fish going 5+. We hit several different places and threw many different baits. You just had to hit the fish in the head and don't miss the bite.

It would be fun to join you guys in the morning but gonna have to leave it to you. Looks like I will be headed to Texoma tomorrow. Hopefully get into some smallies!

I'll be on Hubbard but I'm launching from another area in my little tub. I want to cover a few new (to me) areas and try and find some fish. RHBC Open is there next Saturday! Maybe see you guys out there! Off to bed!

HAD A BLAST!!
we were blessed with near PERFECT weather conditions, and managed a small limit. 8.86 lbs for our best 5 fish. We caught a BUNCH of shorties.

Bogey got 3 keepers, I managed two, with the big bass being 2.86lbs. It was slow for the morning bite, which surprised me. Then,I got lucky in the afternoon and chased a bass that has eluded me on numerous occasions.. he was still there, and I got him this time! wasnt as big as I thought, but almost 3lbs. Bogey had another toad in teh same spot break him off.. and we never got him again. Afternoon bite was GREAT in our one spot.. TON of fish, and 3 of the 5 keepers came from there.

It was great. I havent fished RH much lately, and it was nice to be able to boat a couple keepers.. even if they WERE dinks.

Bogey is a heckuva angler.. but wont admit to it.

Thanks RoF! I was going to post my report, but there is a little OPEN on Ray Hubbard next weekend, so I will just keep under wraps. I had a great time fishing with RoF and we teamed up on the fish pretty well. This was the first time that I have ever gone out and only caught fish on my spinning reel. I never even got a smell from a bait caster. I have a feeling that we could have hopped @ the lake a little and used what we found out, but we left some out for next time. I was really hoping that we could have chatted it up with some of you that know that lake, and also with some that don't know the lake at all. It would have been great to let some newB's in on a little Mutha Hubbard secrets. Hopefully next time we'll have some takers.

Nice catch. I struggled out there Saturday in my quest for keeper bites. Found some short fish so it was a fun outing.

Well said Robert. Just PM me that info Bogey. I also struggled Saturday to find the right bites. Lots of fish, but only one keeper. Ol Mother Hubbard has one week to change her mind about spitting out bigger fish!
