I was wondering if the 'power poles' I see advertised are worth the bucks here in Texas.
Please share your thoughts, thanks.

I don't have one but have fished out of a boat that did when I get a new boat that will be the first thing I put on it.
Yes they are worth it.

I think so. Havent used one, but the advantages of "anchoring" in shallow water with the push of a button sounds sweet.

i think when spring rolls around next yr and the back of my boat keeps swinging on top of that bed, i'll be kicking myself for not getting one! If you can afford it, go for it, if you can really really afford it, get two ![grin grin](/forums/images/graemlins/default/grin.gif)

Here is a question. Why don't they make the pole that sticks into the ground with a fork on the end.....Eliminating the need to a second pole? That would be sweet!!!

It will be the next purchase I make for my boat.Sure you can use a pole or pvc but that is still alot of work.Storing it,sticking it in the ground and tie it to the boat cleat, clean off the nasty smelly, sticky mud and repeat etc... I use the push pole in the spring and for me its a whip !! Plus in fishing deep water you can stick that power pole in the top of a tree and hold and that is just a few of the benefits it can be used for.I want one yesterday !!!!
