Well I finally made the trip out to LAH today. got there about 2 and fished the boat dock (no boat) and used jigs only. I mainly used albino shad bass assasins. I caught about 8 dinks and that was it. they were extremely deep today, of course wind was blowing pretty good. I would drop my jig down to the bottom and start jigging up from there. most of the fish came from 5-10 ft off the bottom. there were people out there fishing with minnows and I was out catching them with jigs. I think it had to be more luck than anything since this is my third trip to LAH in three years (just moved here in jan) and this is the first time that I have caught anything at all!!

hope this helps somebody out

Randy

Sounds like typical spring fishing in WTX. Shallow to deep depending on the fronts and storms popping up around. More chances of thunderstorms today. I'm just itching to get another shot at my partner out in Grape Creek, but I want the weather to be stable enough to not worry about a storm comming up in the dark. Its a long way from Grape to the boat dock at night, especially if a storm is on the way in.

MarkA, I was just playing around with the pic, until I can find a suitable logo. I really do not care if people know me by site, but I'm sure nobody wants to look at my ugly mug. laugh

My preacher and I made it to AH Thursday. Man, was it windy! We headed to Rocky Creek and fought whitecaps all the way. Got a little damp, and had to fight the wind everywhere. We moved to the trees in the center of Grape creek. We fished from bottom to top, but no luck. Water temp was 54 to 59 degrees. Ought to be into good spawn soon.

Hey catfish,

Good job! Did you try in Grape Creek or was the catch from another area?

Catfish,

You mentioned not being able to figure out the picture posting yet. I had trouble since I first got in the forum. When they changed the format, suddenly I had no trouble posting a pic. If you are putting your pictures in the TFF ShareAlbum, change the name of your digital picture to get any numerical characters out of it before you go in to the ShareAlbum to upload it.

I usually copy the URL of the picture and put it in my computers notepad and save it as a text file. Then I ad the [img]URLxxxx.jpg[ /img]. No spaces in the real thing. Then copy it to my reply and use the preview post to make sure it comes up. I had read one time to copy it to a blank email for the test, but if your computer is set to use HTML for your email editor problems will arise. Also I would keep the name simple and not use any extra periods, dashes, or any characters except alpha. The UBB code does not seem to like that kind of stuff. wink
