throw them away and buy jigs with good hooks. Shouldnt have a problem with rust with a quality jig hooks, unless you leave them submersed 24/7

and never seen an owner hook rust? Wow! Those Zneck hooks rust if you set them within 5 foot of water!

When you change a lure set it to the side to air out before putting back in your box. That should help some.

I use my elevtric drill with a wire brush attachment to knock the rust off. Then I have an assortment of fingernail polish to protect from future rust, plus you can do some custom coloring with the fingernail polish. Walmart sells some for teens (I guess) that is clear with flakes of red. Or you can use black for a base coat, then the clear w red. You can really get creative with the different colors. I no longer use any shakey heads or other with just a plain lead head. I like the Idea but U know Dad-Gum Well you are cross dressin on the weekends after your tournaments!! LOL!!! Had to do it buddy. . . you left the door wide open!! LOL....Sorry, but that was funny...

I collect the silica packets out of varies things, I got people I work with collecting them for me. They work well and they are free.

Would naval jelly work? Its used to take rust off of metals.
