hey matt, I have to say, I took only my box of jigs and some smaller swim baits to try out. I tried some of the stuff you were talking about and all I can say is wow. I got out to lake lewisville today for about an hour and a half. I got a buddy who makes a great jig and used some swimming senkos for trailers.
the fish were bigger and they tried their best to take the rod away from me.
thanks for the info. I will have to get you some pics of the jigs with the swimming senkos. but the weedguard to right on, it just pins the jig to the mouth. That's great! I'm glad you went out there and applied the tactics. Isn't it fun when it works?! I'm glad it went so well, that's what its all about!

Matt, Great article and some nice looking bass too. Thought you would all like to see a recent twist in swim jigs. Vision Lure Flex Head Jigs were designed for all those anglers who wanted a lure that could impart a more realistic action throughout their retrieve no matter how it was worked. The Flex Head Jigs ability comes from its patented hinged hook and flexible two tier weighting system. This allows it to crawl over and through cover distributing its weight evenly while keeping a portion of the weight in the fishs mouth making it virtually impossible for the fish to throw and providing one of the highest hook-up to catch ratios over any other jig. A jigs weighting system and body that actually takes the shape of the structure its moving over and through truly revolutionary. Its unique design allows a variety of presentations that previously came from a number of lures but is now available in just one. You can burn it right under the surface like a spinnerbait with its bullet shaped head, a method which brought this lure to fame while it resists the roll over of other jigs. Pros often toss these as far back into cover and then swim it through the holes of vegetation for a deadly presentation. You can sink it to the bottom, jig it up and down as its conventional counterpart or bump and crawl off objects while attracting attention from any number of trophy fish. There are as many ways to work this lure as there are depths, cover, water clarity, speed and soft plastic trailers. Finally a jig that moves like its alive. What makes this lure so dangerous is its ability to entice even the wariest of fish. A method used by tournament pros, I let it settle to the bottom and then just slightly move my line so the head bobs up and down while the body remains stationary. No other jig can do this and it proves itself time and time again. Others anglers may use the ol jig and pig but this new lure is my cash cow. http://www.visionlure.com/servlet/the-Custom-Jigs/Categories

Check fred roumbanis video out on you tube. Fred has become a master of the swim jig. You might want to turn the volume up all the way on your computer
