I was in the Saturday school with John. It was really good. As everyone else has said, very informative. I've fished Hubbard for years but learned a lot and got some good clarification about how to use my eletronics. Afterwards enjoyed a nice dockside lunch with John & Mike and came away with a new bag of tricks I can't wait to use.

I was also in JV's seminar on Saturday. Without a doubt, it was the most informative 5 hours I have ever spent regardng fishing. As Duece said, we have been fishing Hubbard for years, but John's knowledge and experience about Hubbard has taken what little fishing skill I thought I had to a new level. Thanks John Varner. Also, a big thanks to Super Duck for lunch and the bag of goodies.

Sounds like John has earned a new name..... the Professor. This sounds like the ultimate fishing trip, learning techniques and also learning how to use your equipment properly. I do not think this will be the end of these kind of trips.

Lol....I have heard other people say this...what does an east wind have to do with anything? I have caught plenty of fish with an east wind...will someone explain to me?

Maybe not the fact that is was an East wind (out of the east fish bite least) as that it had changed directions several times in two days and it was a strong wind making it more difficult to stay on the fish if you find them.
