I used Johnson bratwurst sausage last weekend at Lewisville and caught 8 blue cats on 10 jugs in a few hours sunday. I am going to try this again as we caught them without getting stinky hands and they were just the right size 2 to 8#
We caught a couple channel cats on Punch bait. Punch is less messy than regular catfish dough bait.
push (punch) trebel hook to bottom with stick and pull out. cast.
Johnson brats still did better than DK's Punch bait!

I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

I ended up going on thursday night. The fishing started out slow, but they were starting to bite pretty good when I had to leave. I left around 11:15, I had 7 crappie and 6 sandbass. I heard the carp around the rocks, when I was out there.
