No, it has nothing to do with arbritation. After the initial claim denial, I made several phone calls to Progressive stating I was in disagreement of their findings. I worked my way up the chain-of-command and they hired this surveyor as a second opinion. After much investigation and learning how insurance companies work, I found out that these insurance companies hire these same companies over and over to basically come to the same conclusion as their original findings. Basically to reaffirm what the insurance company already said, (reason for denial of the claim), hoping the consumer will take their word and not pursue any further action in getting the claim resolved in their favor. At no time would this in any way resemble arbitration because the insurance company has continued to deny the claim. A form of arbitration would occur only after the insurance company gave in and agreed to pay the claim and there continued to be a debate over the amount of compensation. I did finally hire an attorney to handle my case so hopefully I can get this resolved soon. Remember, when it comes to insurance companies, the squeeky wheel gets the oil.

Keep us informed. Never know when it might happen to one of us. But, I don't use Progressive. I use State Farm.
