launch at lil elm park was windy and white capping but was worth it

No tahoes out there or jet skis

found the sand bass over by deadmans limit out pretty quick

sanddies must off been all over cause saw groups of 2 - 3 boats in different sections - did anybody get in the hybrids

also drifted for catfish and ended up with 5 keepers

I was out this morning, they were schooling around the Gravel Pits but only for 10-20 seconds at a time. By the time I'd get near them they'd be down. Slabbed a bit and got some bites (including a whopper that got off) but couldn't land any. Better than no bite at all, but still frustrating.

falcon, most of these guys would never give up their supposed secrets but deadmans point ( if you launch out of little elm) go under bridge and pass the standing timbers and the point is to your right. Catch all you can eat sandbass under the birds.

The gravel pits (I think) are further in to the lake to your left, just look for boats some anchored some drifting.

I'm also new to the lake and have found most of the guys from the forum are cool as heck when you meet them at the dock. Chatting with them there will get you more information than from this site.

Man never knows precisely what is right. So torn between purpose and doubt, he first builds windows to let the light in then hangs curtains to shut it out.

if you have to have a fishing problem, not being able to get your slab to the bottom is a jim-dandy.... glad to hear you got into them.

Only 43 post and you already have an opinion? The guys on this site will give up more info than you want; all you need to do is ask. cool
You have already given great advice on some very productive areas.

If you have a GPS and Sonar you should do just fine. Main lake humps and points are nice to visit...
Falcon - Welcome to the TFF - welcome

Go to this link http://www.lonestarlakes.com/phpbb/index.php and scroll down to the bottom. Zoom in on Lake Lewisville till you get to the level of detail that the locations start appearing. They are not exact but close enough to tell you where the popular spots are.

NO! NO! NO! There are NO sandbass north of the toll bridge. joetech093 is a liar as most fishermen tend to be.

So has anyone been catching hybrid stripers? I wouldn't consider a day of catching sandbass rewarding.
