When you have time to hit the north side of GV, you need to fish Murrel Park. The turtles won't bother you so much when you're fishing 20-30' of water just off the shore, hehehe.

I'll be moving up to DFW for work and am interested in fishing Lake Worth. Any tactics/bait recommendations?

ah yes

well, sweet corn on a carolina rig with a #6 circle hook
is a great place to start

if you fish LW even more Sunset park you need to get their
early as the turtles move it and steal bait very often

im sure the turtle activity will slow dramatically as the
weather gets cooler and turns cold but till then early morning
is the best time to fish at LW so far

When you move here, send me a PM and we can meet for a session
sometime and i can show you and tell you a ton more stuff
about fishing, i can tell you all day long as well as anyone
else on this forum but it would be to both of our advantage
if i could just "teach" you in person

I do plan on fishing the lake at many other spots to try
and locate possibly bigger fish and areas with "deeper"
water

The lake is a shallow lake maybe running 30 ft deep or so
when its full, so the fish don't really have deep water
to run to. It just locating the fish when they are active
to be able to catch.

Wlcome to the forum!!!

I thank God for each day!

Welcome aboard Foozball! Crago and company have caught quite a few carp out at Lake Worth, so I'm sure they can help you out. Take Crago's recommendations above to heart!

yes, we found a surprisingly sweet spot today, no deeper than any other but sweet indeed!

Started the day off with this 16lb carp!!!

Im telling you guys, im pulling a 20 out of this lake before
the end of the year! I know there are some chunks in the lake,
i just got to find them!!!
BTW chris had one break his line due to reel malfunction but
it was every bit as big if not bigger!!!

Then Chris hit it up with these nice Buffs!
First one going 14lbs and the next going 15lbs

Just a quick question

Why do the Buffalo look so different?
With the body shape and all...

I thank God for each day!

The same reason a chihuahua and a doberman do.

The same reason I, and Jennifer Lopez do.

Excellent catch, BTW. I like that lake,

Try some donkey chokers, at least on one rod to eliminate the small fish. It works. leave small baits on r others to keep the fun going.
