Call it what you want, get a replica or put a picture of it somewhere and enjoy the memory.

If it was really 26" and that fat, you have a toad of a fish that most people that fish will never catch in their lives. Congrats.

Thanks, and I'm not dogging anybody that says it's small, only the people who throw in the other comments like saying it's not a decent fish. I don't care if they say it's a 2 pounder, I was just trying to get a clue as to what other people thought and I know its hard to judge from a pic, I'm just saying.

I think its nine lbs. a ten has a certain look its kinda like the difference when you catch a fish that is close to five and one that weighs five same for one close to ten and one that is ten...the fish you caught is big no matter how you look at it its a big bass

You can call your big carp a purple pumpkin if you want! Just saying that calling a 5 lb fish a toad sounds Ridiculous! lol Heck a fish that size is bait for lots of folks!

based on the pic the only way that fish is 26inches long is if your 13ft tall... Awesome Fish though espescially out of a small boat,

based on pic- 7-ish

Based on 26inches- 10-12lbs

well for different species 5lber is a toad... a perch or bluegill, crappie, whitebass... yeah if i caught a five lb perch its a toad. But a 5lb marlin would just be dumb... IMHO
