What range of depths do you sink them in? I've sunk everything from 4' cuttings up to 20' trees. The trick to sinking the taller trees is to tie all the trunks together...but then tie the cinder blocks about half-way up the trees. This way, when you sink 20' trees in water less than 20' deep...they are not sticking up out of the water
