That's funny stuff right there. Many years ago (like around 1982 -1984) we used to to Chain O Lakes near Rye, Texas. One of the lakes was full of alligators, it was all you could do to keep the gators away from the top water baits. You finally give up and fish one of the lakes that don't have the gators in them as much.

Funny. My sister snagged what looked like a voodoo doll and was so afraid of it that she cut her line and lost her $6 rat-l-trap.

We have plenty of gators here too. I used to shoot them in the bayous when I was a kid, and my brothers $900.00 Akida(spelling??) was eaten by an alligator. We could tell when either an alligator or gar was near our john-boat because the mullets would start jumping out of the water through the air and even land in our boat. There's nothing like getting smacked in the face by an airborn fish.
