Dave I like the Quadzilla chip the best. I have had one on my last two trucks with no issues.

I may go get one, but you know me I am more likely to pull up in the 96 versus the big un!! I sure do love that vortec and storing "stuff" in the back of the burban. Hit 250,000 miles this week!!

There is a pack of real go-faster guys in the Beaumont/Orange area. They mostly run in the Sabine river, Dam B and sometimes Raburn.
Mostly allisons, a few tunnel hulls, all are quasi-insane.

May be more Mercury 260's and 280's in the Golden Triange than any place in Texas. What in the world makes that area the "Golden Triange", the color of the air on a good day?

Golden Triangle = air, true dat!! And I think most of those cats are 1/4mile go fast types but more than one or two ally down that way that will run well over 100. But having ridden with em once they don't seem to be into trolling motors or fishing tourneys just GO FAST!!

Hey Chris.
Wish I knew ol JMT, sounds like a righteously fast dude, lol.
Wonder what the fastest rigs in Texas really run? Think there are really 20 boats that can fish a tourney and run over 90?? I think there may be more than 20, it's just not the ones you hear the most about. Most people that can run over 80 or 90 for that matter don't let you know until it is too late. I have to agree with the above statement and is probably more true than I think! Let's face it Texas is a big arse state. I also think that there is a lot of wishful thinking out there, just cruise the boards and look at the claims. Catsalesman you have that Blazer running very well!!! Is the Yamaha bone stock or are there a few mods done? Either way it is impressive congrats! I have a couple of props that should run real well on your rig and Dave has one also that should run well. If you want to get together sometime you are more than welcome to run my props and see how it goes. Dave I can not wait for the cooler air to come back around again so we can get together and try to make some more improvements. Maybe by then we will have dad's boat sorted out by then so he can come play as well. The Yami has been to Hydro Tec in Missouri and also the HT mod lower unit. We will have to hook up sometime on the water !

I know of many Gamblers that run 80+ and Gamblers are a pretty heavy boat. It has a lot to do with the driver. Just because the boat can run fast doesn't mean the driver can drive fast.

I think there may well be some more boats out there but they must not come around here or have friends that do.
I know there are not many boats that will outrun 79mph, and very few that can run 91! But where are the Gambler & Other brands. May be they are just not into fishing. I know most of the sou. TX & Sou.West Lou. boats did not have a trolling motor on em, so maybe they are just bad fast and not messy with garlic spray!

There is (or was) a HydroTech Stroker here in Nacogdoches that has run over the 100mph mark. James Stallings at Extreme Graphics. The boat does fish but I am not sure if he does tourneys.

Crud, how could I leave James off any list. A true go faster and a heck of a good guy. There is a video of that wicked boat online at the White River. 7k RPM Yammie sounds good!
I think that last check that boat went 103 and some change. I am gonn afind out if he fishes out of it!
Thanks
