My wife really loves her Daiwa baitcaster. I'm too lazy to get up and go and see which model it is, but I recall paying for it what's in your price range. Has certainly served her well. She liked it so much she picked out a Daiwa spinning reel several weeks later, too.

The Citica and Revo are kinda like Chevy and Ford. Nothing wrong with a Dodge, Toyota, Nissan, GMC, etc. Nothing wrong with a Daiwa, either. If you liked that Daiwa you saw at BPS, go get it and enjoy it. I'm confident it will serve you well.

I have used Daiwa Advantage for several years now with no problems. Love the magnetic cast control-almost eliminated the giant birds nest I was so skilled in. Just got 3-Fuego's can't wait to try them out. They are very low profile, eazy to palm.
